Jodie and Ping first got together over two years ago and it quickly became apparent that they had a mutual affinity for songs played in an intimate duo setting. Having such a natural rapport meant that they have developed quickly as a duo. Some of their recent clients include Topsail, Starbucks, M&S and Pearson, as well as a residency at The Bingham Hotel ( Richmond ).

complimented by the fantastic double bassist Paul Sandy, the JP trio is a vibrant and sophisticated outfit that can provide the sounds for a wide variety of settings such as, weddings, corporate events and private parties.  From classic swing, lilting sambas and gentle ballads to some popular favorites, if you want to just dine, sip cocktails or show off some of your fancy foot work, the JP Trio are perfect company!

Jodie Scantlebury A fresh, young & gifted singer, Jodie now lives in London where she has been singing professionally for 3 years. After a degree in Performing Arts at Middlesex University and with a huge love for vocalists such as Carmen McRae & Ella Fitzgerald she began singing Jazz and trained with jazz vocalist Anna Stubbs. Since then she has been performing the American Songbook in and around London  with gigs at Smollensky's on The Strand, The Landsdowne Club, Mortens and a current residency at The Bingham Hotel (Richmond).

Ping Lee graduated from Middlesex University (BA Jazz) in 2000. He has since established himself on the London music scene, proving a popular choice of guitarist amongst many of the up and coming jazz singers for his sensitive accompaniment and lyrical soloing. These include Marcella Puppini, The Puppini Sisters, Georgia Mancio, Jodie Scantlebury, Verity Quade(Jerry Springer-The Opera) to name a few. Ping has extensive experience in a variety of musical situations, both as band leader and sideman. He has matured into a versatile musician spending seasons working for P&O and Air Tours Cruises as well as touring with “Gangsters” theatre production. He is currently working in and around London at the likes of The Hilton & The Hackney Empire, along with residences at the Bingham Hotel and The Chepstow.

Paul Sandy is an extremely talented and versatile double bass player.  Currently a member of Sid Griffin's high-octane Bluegrass combo 'The Coal Porters', The Nick Ross Orchestra and Alice McLaughlin band, he tours the UK and Europe extensively. Paul has also performed and recorded with country star Laura Cantrell, boogie-woogie whiz-kid Paddy Milner and stand-up comic Steve Gribbon.
